The Wise Use of Antibiotics Campaign is in its ninth year. It aims to raise awareness about the use and demand for antibiotics over the winter months.

It focuses on when a patient can expect to be prescribed an antibiotic, what to do when prescribed an antibiotic and how to manage their cold or flu bug.

It promotes the optimal use of antibiotics to healthcare professionals and provides them with a range of resources which help to manage patient expectations over the winter months.

This year the printed resources are supported by promotion on television and in radio and print, as well as the screening of the ads in surgeries and this website.
